Friends of Hamilton Waterfront

And Job Descriptions
The Friends of Hamilton Waterfront is an Advisory
Committee to the Board of Trustees of the Hamilton Waterfront Trust, a non-profit organization. The main function of this sub-committee is to Friend Raise
and Fundraise for Hamilton Waterfront Trust Board of Trustee approved projects.
The Advisory Committee Executive may consist of up to
seven positions appointed by the Board: Chairperson, Assistant to Chairperson,
Coordinator of Fundraising, Coordinator of Promotion and Coordinator of Major
Events and Coordinator of Volunteers, Coordinator of Membership/Friend Raising.
Board of Trustees will communicate to the Friends
Advisory Committee through the position of Chairperson.
Board of Trustees will participate in “Friends”
meetings and activities from time to time.
All persons appointed to positions on the
Friends of Hamilton Waterfront Advisory Committee shall be a resident of Hamilton.
- will be appointed by the Board of Trustees
- is the lead position in “Friends of Hamilton Waterfront”
- is the liaison between the “Friends” and the Board of Trustees of Hamilton Waterfront Trust
- oversees the “Friends” with respect to fundraising, promotion and major events pertaining to the Hamilton Waterfront Trust and its projects
- is responsible for reporting to the Board any initiatives the “Friends” might seek to advance and receive permission from the Board to proceed
- will attend Board of Trustee meetings once per month and will chair “Friends” meetings as required.
- This position has a two year renewable term.
- will be responsible for chairing meetings in the absence of the Chairperson
- will assist in organizing agendas, record minutes of the meetings, set meeting dates/venue and organize any mailings
- will attend meetings as required
- This position has a two year renewable term.
- is responsible for developing a program to raise public awareness of “Friends of Hamilton Waterfront”, the projects of Hamilton Waterfront Trust, and promotion of Board approved special events
- will attend meetings as required
- This position has a two year renewable term.
- is responsible for developing ideas for Board approved major events to be administered by staff of the Hamilton Waterfront Trust
- will attend meetings as required
- This position has a two year renewable term.
- will be responsible for recruiting and organizing volunteers for each planned event
- will attend meetings as required
- This position has a two year renewable term.
- is responsible for overseeing the recruitment of members
- will attend meetings as required
- This position has a two year renewable term.
