Yes, you do need a fishing licence if your are between 18 and 65 years of age. 2. Do I have to buy or bring my own fishing rod? We will supply fishing rods to the first 1,000 children 12 and under. These can be picked up at the main station at Pier 8. 3. Do I need to bring my own bait? Bills Bait and Tackle will be supplying worms to kids for free. They will also have worms available to purchase. 4. Is there parking? Yes, there is parking at Pier 8, Pier 4 and Bayfront Parks. 5. Do we have to register for the derby? No, you do not have to register for the fishing derby. Once you catch a fish and have it recorded at one of the stations your name, address and telephone number will be registered at that time, at no cost. This is a free event.
